We are back for the Summer at the Shed.

We have been busy painting:
 Four of our members took a workshop with Jonathan McPhillips in June and had the perfect day in Wickford, Rhode Island

The hot days of summer are upon us but we are cool. The shed is air conditioned and the white wine is in the refrig. We had a new member join us for painting- Deb Moyer, another student of Brian Colbath.

The North Road Painters are a happy group of painters who have taken classes at the West Hartford Art League with our favorite instructors who include Brian Colbath, Joan Jardin and Paul Batch(all have their own websites.)  With no classes scheduled during the summer last year, one of our founding members graciously offered her tool shed as a studio to paint in during the summer months.  She installed overhead lighting, an air conditioner, refrigerator and coffee maker(what more do we need to make this group happy, but wine and coffee).  Last fall three of our member went to Italy to paint with Will McCarthy(another one of our favorite instructors).  They brought back many stories and paintings.  They have shared their photos and many of us have painted the Tuscany Tree, which we will post.
